Berrydale Buckmasters is a small private hunting club located in northern Santa Rosa County that leases over 1,000 acres from multiple timber companies. The landscape ranges from clear-cuts to planted pines to swamps and everything in between. The hunting is not great; however, it is an enjoyable time for everyone involved and all members of the club will have the chance to kill at least one deer a year. In a normal year, each member is able to kill between two to three deer and at least one seven or eight point will be harvested. To see all kills this year, click here. You can also look through deer killed in the past by clicking here.
In an attempt to establish better management of the deer population and to promote fairness and goodwill, by-laws have been drafted and agreed upon by the club members. The most recent version of the Berrydale Buckmasters By-Laws is now available here.
As the season approaches, a schedule of work days and a scope of work assigned to each member will be added.
